biographie “27 have transcended almost all convenient musical reference and now comfortably occupy a melodic stratosphere of their own”. Alternative Press, September 2004 Boston, Massachusetts based trio
27 fuses sample loops, live instruments and sultry vocals to create
emotive pop songs with a broad range of dynamics and textures. The music
moves easily from gently sparse to lushly full, revolving around the
alluring and captivating vocals. Some tracks ignite a tripped-out vibe
with electronic loops and infectious rhythms, while other songs explore
a more visceral rock approach with sweet melodic hooks. 27 has been
compared to PJ Harvey, Portishead, Aimee Mann, Fiona Apple, Fleetwood
Mac, and Neil Young. Their fan base crosses over many genres and continents,
with recordings and live performances winning over alternative, indie,
metal, emo, punk and pop audiences alike. Rock Sound August 2004
