THE PLAGUE MASS is a punk band mixing a wide range of styles. Not only are they influenced by hardcore and metal music but also by artists of rather atypical genres such as NICK CAVE AND THE BAD SEEDS, DIAMANDA GALAS and the like. Their music his highly melodic, brutal, epic, fast and just as dark as their lyrics are. THE PLAGUE MASS is made up of ex-members of PLEDGE ALLIANCE, ANTIMANIAX, JAN FEAT. UDSSR and ONCE TASTED LIFE and was formed early in 2004. The drummer also plays drums for the CANDY BEAT CAMP and the bassist sings and plays guitar in KNÖTARÖT. Both guitarists have other musical projects as well. Since all of the current members used to play in PLEDGE ALLIANCE the transition to THE PLAGUE MASS was rather seamless. However, you are dealing with a whole new band. As a common ground as far as the band’s contents are concerned, they strongly reject the post-Christian community of moral values and share a body of thought that may be described best as anarchist. A vegan/vegetarian life style is only one small part of all this. Apart from that they enjoy getting drunk together.
